Some orders arrive with plenty of notice. Plenty of time to plan, confirm sizes, approve designs and produce without any pressure.
This was not one of those orders.
At 9:30 PM on a Tuesday, Krishna Trophies received a WhatsApp message from Devender Singh, coach of Shiv Academy cricket club near DD Nagar, Aditya Puram, Gwalior.
Their district tournament started the next morning. Their previous printer had confirmed the T-shirts three days earlier. And then cancelled, same evening, citing a machine breakdown.
40 players. Zero T-shirts. 12 hours to the first match.
The Situation - What Shiv Academy Actually Needed
Shiv Academy is a cricket club based near DD Nagar, Aditya Puram, Gwalior a training academy that has been developing local cricket talent in the area for several years. The club had qualified for a district-level tournament, a serious competitive event for Gwalior-based clubs.
Coach Devender Singh had planned everything weeks in advance. The T-shirt order was confirmed with another printer. Payment was made. And then three days before the tournament, that printer cancelled without warning or refund.
The T-shirt requirement was specific:
- 40 dry-fit polyester T-shirts
- Shiv Academy logo on the chest
- Player name and number printed on the back
- Delivery before 8 AM the next morning

Coach Devender shared the Shiv Academy logo as a PNG file along with a list of 40 player names, numbers and sizes. The logo was clean, 300 DPI with a transparent background. No redesign needed. The file was production-ready.
10:00 PM – Digital proof sent.
Our team prepared a digital proof showing the T-shirt front with the Shiv Academy logo placement and the T-shirt back with a sample player name and number. Sent back to Coach Devender via WhatsApp for approval.
10:18 PM – Proof approved.
One small adjustment, the player name font on the back needed to be slightly larger for better visibility on the field. Revised proof sent. Approved in under 8 minutes.
10:30 PM – Payment confirmed.
UPI transfer received from Coach Devender. Production started immediately.
DTF printing on dry-fit polyester T-shirts requires precise heat press temperature and timing. Polyester is more heat-sensitive than cotton, the press temperature must be calibrated correctly or the fabric can warp and the print adhesion weakens. High-quality DTF prints on polyester withstand 50 to 100 wash cycles without significant fading or cracking, but only when the curing process is executed correctly. On a rush order, there is no room for a reprint. Every T-shirt has to come out right the first time.
All 40 were printed through the night, each one quality checked before moving to the next batch.
5:45 AM – Production complete.
All 40 T-shirts printed, quality inspected and packed. Every player name verified against Coach Devender’s original list. Every number checked. Both print positions chest logo and back name confirmed on each piece.
7:20 AM – Delivery completed.
T-shirts delivered to Shiv Academy near DD Nagar, Aditya Puram, Gwalior. Coach Devender signed off on the full order.

The Result - What Actually Happened
Shiv Academy walked onto the field that morning in matching T-shirts – Shiv Academy logo on the chest, every player’s name and number on the back.

Shiv Academy placed a follow-up order for trophies and medals through Krishna Trophies three weeks later for the same tournament’s prize distribution ceremony.

On dry-fit polyester T-shirts, the standard fabric for cricket kits – DTF delivers sharp, durable prints without the screen setup time that screen printing requires per colour. For a 40-piece order with individual names on each T-shirt, DTF is the only practical method for a 24-hour deadline.
